My cousin, Anna, got married to Patrick in October. Ben was the ring bearer :)

Benjamin's 3rd Birthday Party

We had a firehouse themed party for Ben's 3rd birthday party at our house. The weather was great, and we had a great time.

The pinata that wouldn't die. You pretty much had to take a chainsaw to this thing!


This was my brilliant party game idea that went terribly wrong. The flame, which I painted, was covered in tacks, and you were supposed to throw water balloons at it. You won your fireman hat when you popped a balloon. Well, the balloons were too thick and wouldn't pop when they hit the tacks. The poor kids had to throw the balloons a million times before they popped, and even then it would be because it hit the fence not a tack. I have officially sworn off party games :)

We watched the Olympics, and Mom taught Ben what to do when they play the national anthem. He is now obsessed with American flags and points them out EVERYWHERE :)

A spurt of creativity

First I decided to make fatayers ( I think I have the spelling right), Lebanese meat pies. For those of you who don't know, my grandmother was Lebanese, and I'm in turn a quarter. I love making the food and of course, love eating it!


Then I decided to paint two trays that I picked up for Ben and Abby.
