Abigail Elisabeth Furniss was christened on Saturday, April 26th at St. Stephen's Reformed Episcopal Church, the church I grew up in.

Aunt Gina, the Godmother, flew in from L.A. She gave Ben his very own camera...stay tuned for "Ben's Blog" :)

Uncle John tries to show Ben how to use it. He keeps wanting to look through it backwards, from the lens side...we have lots of pics of his nose :)

That face is priceless!!!

Getting dressed for her big day.

"Mama, are you sure my dress is straight?"

Her Christening gown is a family heirloom. It was made by my grandmother and worn by my aunt and uncle. It's one of two gowns in our family. Ben wore the other one which was worn by my great-grandmother over 100 years ago and was also the gown I wore for my baptism. BUT Miss Chunker wouldn't fit into that one ;)

The dressing process was taking too long for her.

So pretty!

The Christening service

She loved the water!

Ben didn't want to be left out :)

Uncle John, Aunt Gina, Aunt Katherine are Abigail's godparents :)

She was given so many wonderful gifts. Her pearls were from my mom and the silver bracelet from her great-grandparents (my mom's parents)

Hopefully, someone else got a picture of the cake before we cut into it :)

Our attempt at a family picture :) It's near impossible to get everyone looking right.
